Hublot launches three-dimensional "large" complication

Features linear winding and cylindrical time display.

Hublot’s flagship product launched at LVMH luxury tourbillon watches Week 2024 is the MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System, a massive and extremely complex watch that takes a novel approach to every key function: striking time, winding chain and regulation.

The time is indicated by a rolling cylinder, while the movement is regulated by an inclined flying tourbillon, while the mainspring is wound by a novel mechanism that relies on the linear movement of twin sliding weights. All the complex mechanics are clearly visible beneath the panoramic wrap-around sapphire crystal that curves in three different planes.

Although Hublot is best known for its simple models such as the Classic Fusion, and has sometimes been criticized for the basic movements used in these watches, the brand has long specialized in complex mechanical complications, most notably the MP -05 LaFerrari, with a movement shaped like a car engine and MP-07 with a 40-day power reserve. The MP-10 continues the series in the same oversized, ultra-modern form.

The movement combines several unusual complications found elsewhere, but never quite come together. These include a cylindrical time display and a tilting tourbillon, but more striking is the linear winding mechanism. This is probably the most dynamic complication in a copy luxury watches, as dual weights on either side of the case slide up and down with the movement of the wrist.

Hublot's sister company TAG Heuer has tried several times in the past to wind movements with sliding weights, but the concept never really caught on effectively. However, perhaps current technology has made it more practical, just as outer wraps, despite being invented decades ago, have only become commonplace recently.

Impressive from a technical perspective – with a movement component count of 592 reaching the level of a grand complication – the MP-10 resembles a highly complex machine, which was almost certainly the goal of its creators. Its complexity and three-dimensionality make it a good companion to watches from independent watchmakers such as Urwerk and MB&F.

In contrast, the MP-10's shortcomings are entirely practical. It's just too big. Like its predecessor, the MP model, it's barely wearable. With a case length of over 54mm and a height of over 22mm, the MP-10 is a massive fake watches for sale. Dimensions are similar to the MP-05 LaFerrari, which is large enough to fit comfortably on only the largest wrists, especially since the standard Hublot folding clasp isn't very comfortable due to its design.

mechanical engine Like the MP-05 LaFerrari before it, the MP-10 is powered by a multi-layer movement whose elements rotate and slide in multiple planes. In fact, the movement is reminiscent of a car engine, raising the possibility that the watch was originally built as a Ferrari watch before Hublot parted ways with the carmaker in 2020.

The most traditional MP-10 complication replica high quality watches is the flying tourbillon that rotates once per minute. The tourbillon is located at six o'clock and has a seconds scale on its outer cage, allowing it to double as a seconds indicator.

Directly above the tourbillon are the time and power reserve displays, all indicated by cylinders. The hours are displayed on the uppermost cylinder, followed by the minutes below, and the power reserve is displayed on a narrow ring above six o'clock. When the watch is fully wound, the power reserve ring displays green; when the watch is depleted, the power reserve ring displays red.

The power reserve is a relatively short 48 hours, which may seem surprising given the size of the replica luxury watches. However, if you look at the structure of the movement, you will find that there is not much space left for the mainspring in the upper part around 12 o'clock. The mainspring is wound directly through the large crown at 12 o’clock.

Setting the time, on the other hand, is done via the crown on the case back. This telescopic crown pops out from the case back and advances the hour and minute cylinders.

Both the tilting tourbillon and the cylindrical time display have been used in Hublot’s past models, but the linear winding mechanism is completely new to the brand. Located on either side of the cylinder of time, the winding weights are weighted cubes made of gold that slide up and down on a vertical track to wind the mainspring.

Brands that have tried linear winding in the past include Corum and TAG Heuer, but with limited success. However, these attempts took place a decade or more ago, so Hublot's system will undoubtedly be more complex. In addition to this, the linear counterweights in the MP-10 replica bugatti watch are supported by shock-absorbing springs, which cushion the movement from forward and backward sliding when winding.
